Googling for post scarcity I came across First Steps Towards Post scarcity: or Why the Current Financial Crisis is the End of the World As We Know It (And Why You Should Feel Fine) in H+ magazine. An interesting title with an nano/bio tech kinda view on post scarcity. H+ magazine also had a fluffy article about whuffie, by the author of a book called the Whuffie Factor. Almost certainly not as good a read as the book where the term comes from. The last article I gave a chance was something about People’s Capitalism, interesting, but well, not fascinating.
I think I’m more interested in actually reading (and working on) stuff that’s a bit more closer to my reality. Fortunately, thanks to some interest in saving Digihitch.com I came across a Belgian initiative for adhoc mobile ridesharing which looks like it can use some fresh energy – but it is non-profit.
